The lowdown

The doughnuts at this vibrant shop are bright and cheerful, both in color (check out the vivid magenta on the Those Beetz Are Dope) and flavor (that doughnut’s beet glaze and ricotta stuffing). Olive oil elevates the Bronx above plain-Jane vanilla status, and the Bacon Maple Bar is topped with a long, crunchy strip of bacon. All of the doughnuts here are of the yeasted variety, with a nice level of squish and shiny, and just-sweet-enough icings. The space is colorful and energetic, with a cherry-red espresso machine, crystal-beaded chandeliers, and a swirly mural that pops against matte black walls. If you’re not taking your treats to go, counter seating against street-facing windows allows you to sit with your coffee and doughnut and show off to Morton Street how happy you are.
