This place opened after much anticipation in the old Empire Diner space, and while the surroundings are as cool as ever, the upscale-diner menu disappoints. The burger on a recent visit was overdone despite requests for medium-rare, and almost inedibly dry. Lobster pasta fared better, a nicely briny tangle of noodles with tomatoes and crustacean chunks, though the latter were overcooked too. The addition of farro to a green salad added welcome texture, but the leaves themselves were somewhat overdressed; a chicken sesame salad, though promising-sounding, proved an unappealing inert-looking pile of cabbage in a mayonaisey dressing, with chunks of chicken breast and a few sesame seeds. At least the place got the burrata right though not the best in the city, it hit all the correct creamy notes. Come here for the attractive sidewalk seating area, if you must, but order carefully.
