Profile

Can't decide between Mexican and Spanish? This Greenwich Village kitchen has been doling out both for over three decades, and to judge by the liquor supply, the bar's been stocking a new brand of tequila every year. That sort of variety contributes to the general merriment, as do a heaping paella Valenciana and bicultural tapas like garlic shrimp and nachos, which many seem to enjoy in the skylit garden room.

Recommended Dishes

Paella valenciana with lobster, $29; fajitas de carne, $18; chimichangas, $14

While the margaritas were substantial and quite good, it's best to get a pre-dinner drink here then head next door to Las Ramblas to eat.

Tio Pepe may not be gourmet, but their amazing drink selection makes up for it. Affordable cocktails at their best!
