Even on a Murray Hill block that is a veritable United Nations of ethnic dining, this cozy Croatian eatery stands out for originality. The restaurant features a warm Mediterranean menu highlighted by the culinary specialties of the Dalmatian coast, definitely one of the rarer birds of Manhattan dining. It turns out that the cuisine of the region is quite accessible, if not familiar. Some of the local flavor includes antipasti plates featuring cured meats and smooth, fresh cheeses, or main dishes such as traditional handmade ravioli stuffed with goat’s milk ricotta, salt cod, pine nuts, and raisins. Enjoy the wines of the region with dinner or at the handsome bar, rubbed to a high polish with brass accents, where a live pianist plays four nights a week.
