Profile
This austere dim sum spot on out-of-the-way Pell Street draws hipsters, vegans, locals, and the occasional bewildered tourist. Guilt-ridden carnivores looking to improve their karma will find the mock meat dishes like sesame chicken (gluten) and barbecue spare ribs (yams) surprisingly convincing, although the straight vegetarian fare, especially the dim sum, is far superior. Check off the boxes on the dim sum menu with a dull pencil or order a la cart from the lengthy menu, which runs the gamut from mock shark soup to algae with black mushrooms. Don’t forget to try the non-dairy shakes, especially the papaya or kiwi.
