Profile

This venue is closed.

This frozen yogurt outlet follows in a long line of Pinkberry wannabes with its solid approximation of the archetype's taste, but none of its style. Decor is no-frills, from the nearly bare white walls to the grey, industrial counter, though floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto St. Mark’s and a small flat-screen TV blaring South Korean music videos provide some interest. The menu here is brief: yogurt in plain, green tea, or the relatively daring blueberry flavor, fruit or sugary toppings like Cocoa Puffs and Oreos, and a few smoothies and sundaes like the yogurt banana split. Flavor-wise, Very Berry’s offerings have the au courant tang of its competitors, and a sturdy, almost coarse texture. Signs throughout the shop proclaim that there’s “no sugar added” to the 20-calorie-per-ounce stuff, but if you look closely you'll note that the pre-packaged base lists sugar as its first ingredient.
