Don't be deterred by this small corner storefront in South Williamsburg; these guys are serious about pizza. Their grandma-style square pie’s thin crust is made in an olive-oil-rubbed pan, yielding a delicious fried crisp, while the Brooklyn-style round crust is more doughy. On top of pizzaiolo Nino Coniglio’s (of Bayside’s Pizzeria del Corso) fresh dough sits housemade San Marzano tomato sauce and mozzarella—and you can add other toppings like arugula, artichokes, Italian sausage, and imported black olives. If the Southside-native team, made up of friends Aaron McCann and Geoff Curley, hasn’t created a signature combination for you, feel free to design your own slice or pie. Though a handful of salads and heroes fill out the menu, pizza is the definite focus here, but the addictive garlic knots may be a close second.Recommended Dishes
