The wraps at this bustling little café a few blocks from Columbia come stuffed with just about anything that will fit into a tortilla or pita. Cold salad versions satisfy cravings for a light lunch, and starch bombs, like the Southern Comfort, with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy, make a booze-absorbing late-night snack. You get a choice of salad stuffings, cold wraps with sandwich fillings, and hot wraps like barbeque beef, jerk chicken, and pulled pork. The ingredients are fresh; hummus is house-made with lots of garlic, and the meats don't taste like they've been sitting under a heat lamp all day. The delicious tofu fajita comes stuffed with creamy marinated tofu, sautéed red and green peppers, and a tangy fajita sauce. There are tons of add-ons like refried beans, sweet corn, and spinach artichoke dip. All orders come piping hot from the open kitchen in the back. Once your number's called, there's no reason to linger—the harried staff doesn't have time to buss the few tables in the dining room, the blue vinyl banquettes are covered with cracks that have been patched with duct tape, and the floor is littered with chips and paper plates.
ExtraA smoothie bar at the front offers up all sorts of fruit mixes, with or without non-fat yogurt. You can also add in supplements like protein powder, wheat gem, and ginseng.
Recommended DishesTofu fajita wrap, $6.50; Thai chicken wrap, $6.50
