Though the walls and furnishings of Meg Cohen's Soho shop are a boring, if crisp, white, the airy space is splashed with a rainbow of color courtesy of the designer's signature scarves, gloves, and home accessories. A sampling of Cohen's favorite items, like spice grinders, fine French olive oil, and high-end stationary, dot the store's plane-Jane shelves alongside handpicked books (for sale as well). The wide selection of British-made cashmere wraps and vibrant scarves for men and women should heat up cold-weather wardrobes, while "sloves" (fingerless, arm-length gloves) prove a stylish, if not terribly practical, accoutrement. Not everything forgoes substance for style: The Japanese-inspired folding tray tables are perfect for tiny New York apartments and can be paired with matching cashmere throws and pillows.
