This spacious accessories shop caters to handbag lovers who lust after status bags but opt against dropping thousands at Louis Vuitton or Prada nearby. Staggered on glass shelves throughout the store, the handbag assortment promotes an affection for leather (the mention of “pleather” elicits shudders from the staff), with J.J. Winters clutches finished with a metallic gold sheen, Bulga satchels, and studded totes from Sabina, a Brooklyn designer. To cultivate an air of covetability, Add generally carries five or fewer of each item—new styles arrive every two weeks, and any bag that goes unsold for a month is sent back to its company. Besides purses, Edge sunglasses perch on an island in the center of the store, surrounded by cases of beaded chandelier earrings, Pupil’s delicate gold-plated necklaces, and Jessica Kagan Cushman’s inscribed resin bracelets. — Lauren Murrow

add accessories looks beautiful when you walk in.....BUT once you scratch the surface it is nothing but a ruse. The owners are scumbags and rip off all the designers and suppliers that they 'buy' from. it is a very sad story and the only people laughing are the sleazy husband/wife team. Stay away! why buy from scumbags when you can give your business to honest, hardworking people with ethics? BTW, the owners of add accessories are not welcome at industry trade shows and events. Perhaps that is why they have such a high turn over of wares they sell at their stores. Designers beware and buyer beware since you may be buying stolen goods! or goods they only paid pennies on the dollar for without the agreement of the designer/supplier!
I'm originally from L.A., but now I live in Seoul, Korea. I've been crazed shopper for years. The one thing I do when I'm home in the States, is shop and travel. I was able to get to NYC this winter and discovered this great accessories store.
If you know anything about Seoul you know it's a great place to shop for accessories from designer labels to bargain steals. With years of shopping in major cities all around the world from L.A. to London, I'm hard to impress.
The Add Accessories shop did impress me. This was because they had a great selection. There were interesting and distinctive purses, totes, shoes and boots there for me to choose from. They ranged from the really adventurous and colorful to the more conservative and classic.
The ladies in the store made every attempt to make sure I left pleased.
I did. I left with a great new pair of black leather boots that I get frequent compliments on. They're got a great selection and they're friendly. I say that's more than enough reason to give them high marks.
