The first Stateside store of Spanish-born designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, this Soho boutique effuses energy with its bright lights, pink and white walls, and bold clothing. The racks of richly hued contemporary sportswear pieces explode with colorful Lilly Pulitzer–esque prints, radical motifs, and playful accents like patchwork and embroidery. Though the label began as a womenswear line in 1980, it has since grown into a worldwide lifestyle brand, incorporating menswear, children’s clothing, linens, accessories, and gift items. More recently, de la Prada has adopted a global sensibility for her newer collections: A meeting with Al Gore on climate change prompted the designer to implement organic materials and to practice fair and sustainable labor.
