Brit brand AllSaints opened its first New York outpost in May 2010, a sprawling, 13,600-square-foot flagship. The space has a went for a studiously hip, vintage vibe, decked with distressed leather chairs, weathered wood, exposed brick, and oxidized steel. Singer sewing machines are stacked impressively along the front walls and a loom from the twenties graces the ground floor. The merchandise is of considerably higher quality than its British neighbor, Topshop, divvied into floors for men and women. The street-level floor is awash in full-skirted dresses, silky leather jackets, strappy sandals (plus an extensive selection of lace-up boots), skinny jeans, and slinky asymmetrical knits. The men's floor below is slightly less groundbreaking, but no less wearable, offering a slew of rumpled button-downs, leather jackets, faded blazers, and graphic tees.
