This tiny, mustard-colored boutique serves up plenty of options for women who don’t want to blend into the crowd. Although the selection offers a smattering of dresses, blouses, or scarves, the focus is on coats recalling a Betsey Johnson–like whimsy. The Über-feminine styles are generally knee-length and feature wool-blend fabrics. From there, ruffled collars, bright colors, and puffed sleeves take over. Subtler versions have jewel tones and fitted shapes, while a flashier style might have a floppy polka-dot collar, a chest piece made of tweed, and a checkerboard pattern over the thighs. Even the buttons are eye-catching: Oversize, interesting shapes like doughnuts or warped circles festoon the fronts of these confections. For warmer seasons, there are embroidered corduroy blazers, sixties-style swing raincoats with giant buttons, and pared-down cotton cover-ups with quarter-length bell sleeves.
