A menswear mainstay in Italy—with over 50 franchises across the country—the deceptively American-sounding Andrew’s Ties entered the U.S. market in 2003 with outposts in New York City and Philadelphia. At their packed Manhattan shops, walls of cubbies are carefully stuffed with brightly colored ties in full spectrum of cheery colors like tangerine, aquamarine, plum, and fuschia, while racks of cotton button-down shirts crowd the sales floor. The stores carry nearly 3,000 classic silk and cashmere ties, as well as more trend-conscious varieties priced competitively from $39 to $59. All the cravats are hand-crafted in Italy and made with a heavier silk, which results in a richer look and a thicker knot; measuring in at 59 inches, they’re also longer than the average American version. Ascots, bow ties, pochettes, cuff links, pocket squares, belts and a small collection of Italian button downs are also in stock to help add a little bello polish to any business suit—or serve as an slightly more glamorous alternative to the standard Father’s Day present. — Valerie Denny
