Profile
Since 1999, Area ID has offered fine, vintage goods from its quiet, funky Nolita shop, which resembles a modernist’s idealized, over-stuffed living room, and features an enviable collection of original, mid-century modern furnishings from the United States and Scandinavia. Quality name brands such as Karl Springer, Lane, and Orrefors are available to nesters with quirky tastes but neither the time nor wherewithal to stalk the flea markets themselves. Area ID also sells an array of reproduction pieces in similarly modern styles such as sofas, club chairs, and chaises longues, all upholstered in buttery (synthetic, washable) ultra-leather or in white or your choice of 100 colors, as well as a wild assortment of accessories. Here's your chance to snatch up that zebra-striped cowhide rug or a Mongolian fur pillow you've always coveted! While visiting, be sure to admire the beautiful vintage Italian glass chandeliers.
