Profile

Barbara Bui's meticulously tailored jackets and curvaceous blazers might bring in the crowds, but the perfect-fitting pants have got her loyal clientele hooked. Clean, classic and timeless, Bui's effortlessly cool pieces can be worn season after season—lucky, since with four-figure price tags for a linen jacket or a silk dress, Bui's fashions are as much investment as pleasure. Minimalist, ultrachic, and borderline-intimidating, the boutique features all of the designer's lines.

While somewhat pricy, like leather pants for $1500, the quality of the clothes is exceptional. While $1500 for leather pants is not something I would do everyday, the ones I have bought have brought me nothing but compliments. Her boots are different by design, and have a certain look to them that I love. Only problem is the issue of what they show on their website, does not get imported to the US. The staff is not pushy, they don't fawn all over you, and if they think it does not look good on you they admit it. I bought two pairs of leather boots one knee high $785 and one over the knee $430 (on sale, reduced from $700), and two pairs of leather pants, one flared leg $520 and one with embossed leather at the bottom of each leg, $1545.00. I will always go back. Their clothes fit my tall skinny long armed body. I htink the service and the way they stand back and let you decide is the most important part of shopping there.
