A family-owned business now in its fourth generation, Bielecky Brothers still models its cane-and-rattan furniture on traditional designs from as far back as 1903. The showroom—which is open to the public but only sells to designers and architects—imports all its natural vines from Indonesia and Africa and shapes them into a staggering catalogue of styles at their factory in Woodside. While most of the upmarket, intricately crafted sofas, dressers, accent tables, and front porch–style chairs follow patterns created by the owners' Polish-born great-grandfather, the shop regularly customizes by size, color, and piping. The factory also restores and refinishes both antique wicker and wood furniture from other manufacturers.
