This Manhattan mini-chain has somehow retained the feel of a small, local outfitter by employing NYC-area shedders to execute simple repairs and keep the pop-punk pounding. As at any full-service skate shop, complete models are in limited supply; decks and boards by brands like Element, Birdhouse, and Burton are sold separately from the trucks and bindings, so the finished product—which the staff assembles free of charge—has been tailored to the client’s riding style and expertise. During summer months, longboards and inline skates are also available but the shop’s mostly teen clientele is into the clothes as much as the wheels. For boys, there are black hoodies by Stussy and Obey and shoes by DC, Adio, and Vans. Skater girls can find Etnies sneakers in pink and green camo, dresses by Triple Five Soul, and hoodies in light pastels. Sunglasses by Smith and gold- and silver-embossed watches by Nixon will complete your look. — Ben Perkins
