Ample natural light lends a muted atmosphere to this denim-focused Soho boutique, which has a rigorous selection of black and blue jeans along with distinct, custom leather jackets. There are also a handful of t-shirts and tailored suits for men, while sweaters, blouses and blazers round out the women’s collection. And the attractions stretch beyond the clothing—a bi-annual Gazette available in the store boasts contributions by the likes of Wes Anderson, and shoppers are invited to browse through the carefully curated selection of books on a back shelf, with titles from Kafka, Godard, Ono and Mapplethorpe. But the space is more loft than living room, and the store never gets too far from its primary focus—the shelf filled with stacks of jeans stretching to the ceiling.
