While touting yet another shoe store on 8th Street may seem a tad cliche, Blu stands out because of its stunning selection of high-heeled footwear—not to mention its sexy saleswomen, who strut effortlessly around in six-inch stilettos. If you're shopping for comfort, keep on walking; but those in the market for sequin-encrusted sandals, snakeskin pumps, or rhinestone-studded suede boots, however, will want to dawdle a while. The offshoot of the much larger Petit Peton located just a few doors east, this sliver of a shop is devoid of decoration, which allows the shoes to shine. A few small leather handbags complement the footwear, which is made up of names like Claudio Merazzi, Pari & Pari, Duel and Seline. For those who aren't label snobs, the outrageous styles are guaranteed to impress, even if you'd only dare to wear them out in public New Year's Eve.
