Like shoes, handbags are as much fetish as function, yet a handbag boutique is still a novelty. All the more reason to treasure Blue Bag, 500 square feet of revelatory carryalls from London, St. Tropez, Brazil—wherever owners Pascal and Marni Legrand have been. This is where Kate Moss got boho-embroidered Antik Batik evening bags and Jessica Simpson bought her Bulga “Butterfly” satchel. With 28 designers, up to 160 two-of-a-kind styles, and Legrand working with the designers, it’s seldom the same store twice. Right now, there are lightweight raffia totes by Sans-Arcidet, collapsible macramé baskets by Ira Salles, and snakeskin clutches by Velveteen. Her latest: handwashed lambskin frame bags by Strecker.

love it!! you want to get so much compliment about your bag; This is the best handbags store in nyc if only you are looking for new up-coming designers that you won't see on every shoulders. Every months you can have an addiction since they constantly receive new bags as they carry small quantity per style.

Blue Bag is one of those stores that makes it easy to enter. With huge windows showcasing the entire store, the vibrancy of colors and openness of floor plan invite any passerby in. The brick walls and wood floors create a cozy, lived-in feel, which contrasts pleasingly with the vivid colors of the bags.
