Bluestockings, staffed entirely by volunteers, stocks books focused on revolutionary struggle, politics, and feminism. It also hosts readings, performances, workshops, films, and anything else that might help radical causes.
One night while out in the neighborhood, I noticed a crowd of folks in a small storefront. Inside, a discussion about Native American sovereignty was taking place with the author and activist Daniel Schenandoah. Cool. This place turned out to be Bluestockings. It's full of great books and good people.
