But for the ultimate in chic, contemporary fixtures, head down to Boffi. Interior designers shop here for elements that can transform a bathroom into spalike heaven, picking up everything from sleek one-piece faucets and tubular steel light fixtures to massive, seamless Bihar stone tubs that are the size of a walk-in closet. Simple gray oak cabinets and stainless-steel countertops are typical of the kitchen style; bright whites and stone are in the bathroom displays downstairs. Don’t be put off by the gallery-ish atmosphere (or the absence of price tags); novices are more than welcome.
