Profile
“New York in a bottle” is the concept behind Bond No. 9, a fragrance boutique so deeply connected to the city in which it’s based that the name is the address of its NoHo headquarters and even the logo is taken from the iconic subway token. The interiors of this Meatpacking outpost (New York’s sixth location) mirror the brand’s glitzy aesthetic—there are luxurious checkered floors, radioactive green chandeliers and a life-size transparent female mannequin. The women’s, men’s and unisex fragrances pay homage to either a Manhattan locale or a New York “sensibility.” Think “Broadway Nite” (rose, vanilla and musk), Andy Warhol’s Lexington Avenue (notes of blue cypress, fennel, and roasted almonds) and “New Haarlem” (coffee, vanilla and patchouli). The store also has Eau de New York scented candles, a range of gifts (from scented flowers to pocket sprays) and limited edition vessels (such as a chandelier amphora inspired by the vintage relics found in Bowery lighting stores).
