This charming neighborhood bookstore is the sister store to the original Book Culture on 112th Street. While the latter caters to the surrounding population of Columbia students with academic titles and textbooks, this newer space, which opened in November 2009, specializes in general-interest titles. The simple hardwood shelving and warm lighting creates an inviting atmosphere for browsing. Large sections along the walls are devoted to new releases, bestsellers, and mystery titles, and smaller freestanding shelves house a growing selection of cookbooks, graphic novels, and Moleskine journals.
