This sleek showroom hidden away on the third floor of the Time Warner Center showcases Bose’s top-of-the-line audio systems and accessories. The spare, curved showroom is reminiscent of many of the wave-shaped Bose units. Just a few representative pieces are set on shelves projecting from the walls, including Bose’s standard black AM/FM-tuner-and-CD-player combo. There’s also the acoustic wave system that creates a rich, deep bass sound for larger apartments. The 3-2-1 GSX entertainment system with a Toshiba screen offers theater-like surround through a hard-drive-sized sound unit and two small mountable speakers. Some of the most popular items are the noise-canceling headphones, which block the low-frequency sound of airplane engines during flying.
