"Casual” may be a bit of a misnomer—at least half of this plus-size menswear store is occupied by spiffy, office-worthy outfits like suits, khakis, and sweater vests. Casual Male’s brand-name suits come with stretching collars, waistbands, and armholes to minimize tight squeezes, and are made of special fast-drying fabrics that keep the wearer cool. The rest of the inventory encompasses a wide variety of tracksuits, mesh shorts, sweatpants, novelty lounge pants, and Hawaiian shirts. Besides its own lines, Casual Male also carries brands like Calvin Klein, Reebok, and Harbor Bay, in sizes ranging incrementally up to 7XL. For items like suits and dress shirts, staffers will take measurements to get a perfect fit. Accessories like belts, cuff links, and watches are held behind the register, next to a glass case with colognes by Kenneth Cole, Lacoste, and Polo. And there’s also a sampling of shoes, most of them loafers that would go equally well with a suit or a pair of jeans.
