Housed in the former space of longstanding witchcraft supply store Enchantments Inc. (which moved down the block), Change of Season traded incense and tarot cards for past-season women’s apparel from designer icons like Balenciaga, Rick Owens, and Maison Martin Margiela. The space is modeled after a posh hotel lobby and outfitted with vintage luggage, gilded mirrors, and a sturdy bellman cart holding wool overcoats by Vivienne Westwood. Every silky printed blouse, structured skirt, and stylish frock—like a trim, gold-threaded jacket by Comme des Garçons—is hand-chosen in Italy by co-owners Clinton Curtis and Marco Querci. Better yet, everything is sold at 50 to 75 percent off original retail prices, making couture significantly more accessible. The shop carries a well-vetted line of shoes (think Oxfords and distressed ballerina slippers), belts, bags, and one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, like a vintage-inspired neckpiece by Maria Zureta.
