Eva Dayton, owner of nearby boutique Butter by Eva Gentry, opened this consignment shop for used and vintage clothing from high-end labels like Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, and Marc Jacobs. White leather furniture and cream curtains eschew the typically kitschy thrift shop look for something infinitely sleeker. Dayton's consigners tend to be editors and stylists who drop off barely (or never) worn press gifts and photo shoot leftovers, like a Henri Beguelin satchel with tags still inside, a silver velour Chloé gown, or a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps—all priced at least forty percent below retail. Butter-friendly designers like T-shirt maven Christina Lehr have also been known to occasionally unload a pile of samples. Plus the store functions as an outlet for Butter, with deep discounts on past season merchandise. — Lexi Dwyer
After visiting Eva Gentry consignment I have found that I have no
shopholic need to go anywhere else for high end designer
clothes, I love Vintage too and this shop has it all. The prices are
fair and the selection is streamlined, What else can a girl want?
The best part is that Eva Gentry has started a blog showcasing
some of the inventory just to wet your appetite.

I'm a Butter shopper, but recently I've been sure to stop into Consignment en route. This is a very well-edited collection of previously-owned designer apparel. The best part is, unlike all those smelly and crowded designer consignment shops in the city, this one is so clean and organized that you don't even realize you're thrifting.
