Clothing designer Miranda Bennett, jewelry designer Pamela Johnston, and vintage-furniture dealer Genie Lee opened this pocket-size Boerum Hill shop in February 2009 to showcase their combined work. All three lines share a retro, feminine aesthetic, making the space more akin to a stylish bedroom than a typical boutique. Bennett’s designs are youthful and flirty: dyed silk dresses and tanks, casual jumpers, and multiple variations on the little black dress. Johnston’s collection, Plume Jewels, includes chunky statement jewelry made with a mix of metals, silk ribbons, and glossy stones, as well as simpler earrings and some quirky headbands. Lee’s furniture line is sold under the name Southern Gothic, offering an Art Deco–influenced selection of antique dressers, trunks, and mirrors. The owners also keep a blog chronicling their current style inspirations, ranging from Grace Kelly to Singles-era Bridget Fonda.
