Mid-block in 47th Street's diamond district, David Levy Diamonds is located in a small, ninth-floor suite in a building full of jewelers. Levy’s family has been in the business for three generations, and his appointment-only store’s primary focus is the sale and production of wedding bands and engagement rings. Customers consult with Levy in an office that has a picture window overlooking the midtown skyline and an interior window facing a small diamond-cutting workshop where artisans cut and shape diamonds. Premade designs run the gamut from special-occasion earrings and necklaces to diamond-and-platinum engagement rings. Levy and company can also create a custom piece through an interactive process using a wax model.
