This spacious, minimalist boutique displays the work of promising new womenswear designers in a gallerylike setting. The sleek space is sparsely adorned, with modern black furniture, a polished concrete floor, and freestanding glass cases housing small, singular collections of jewelry. The boutique carries limited items from a rotating roster of around twenty clothing, jewelry, footwear, and handbag designers, many just in their first or second seasons. Each label has its own rack along the bare white walls, with a plaque detailing the inspiration behind the current collection (ranging from nightmares and drunkenness to tribal textiles). The collections are disparate and fashion-forward: Previous offerings include whimsical illustrated silk dresses by Death by Drone, elaborate mixed-metal necklaces by Gemma Redux, sleek leather garments from Berube, and Cathy Pill’s splashy, painterly frocks. High-heeled booties and pumps and leather handbags are displayed within glowing, built-in cubbies, furthering the store’s polished feel.
