Michelle Zimmerman’s grandfather Raymond was a jewelry-maker, so when she began crafting pieces of her own back in 2005, she named her line after him. Raymond’s picture is displayed on a shelf at her store, near a collection of simple chains that fit Michelle’s signature delicate aesthetic. Swarovski pearls and crystals adorn many pieces, while the rest are accented by only the very tiniest embellishments. The line is designed around a concept of one-of-a-kind, customizable items; clients may change the length or chain of necklaces and bracelets either in shop or online. Constantly on the hunt for new beads and charms to use in her work, Michelle is a self-proclaimed “hoarder of vintage” and sells most of her California-sourced hauls in store. Printed silk scarves and costume pieces like door-knocker, Dynasty-style earrings have made addicts of local girls, many of whom stop in multiple times each week.
