A suit of armor welcomes shoppers to this high-end heirloom-jewelry boutique. The walls of the cavernous space are covered with small silver squares, an imitation Renaissance mural, and an opulent display of estate jewels from both prestigious brands like Van Cleef & Arpels and unknown designers. Since 1995, the company has earned a following of regular collectors and celebrities, including Whoopi Goldberg and Lindsay Lohan. (Lohan purchased a heart-shaped ring here during her short-lived relationship with Samantha Ronson, sparking engagement rumors.) The pieces are sourced from international private estates and span the Victorian, Edwardian, and Colonial periods; each bauble is verified by a gemologist. Recent finds include a limited-edition owl-shaped white-enamel pin by David Webb, cabochon-cut emeralds and diamonds, a diminutive Art Deco Rolex pendant watch encrusted with Muzo emeralds, and star-shaped gold earrings from the eighteenth century—one of the oldest pairs in the store.
