Shoe-industry veteran Eric Mudick is known for his Manhattan-based kids shoe store, Little Eric, but he moved this lesser-known women’s spin-off, Eric Shoes, from the Upper East Side to Park Slope in fall 2008. He christened the store Girl on Seventh, decorating the minimalist space with plush leather ottomans and hanging white paper lanterns overhead. The revamped shop retains a mix of classic and contemporary styles, offering comfortable duds with a sophisticated, feminine edge. Year-round staples abound, like suede flats, sleek pumps, and versatile sneakers, as well as a wide array of traditional dress shoes. Cooler months bring an expansive range of boots, from chic leather styles by Corso Como to durable rubber rain boots from Tretorn. The offerings are updated each season, but perennial mainstays include Dolce Vita, Seychelles, Butter, and PF Flyers.
