Dog lover Eva Fasth left Wall Street to open this dog-care center with her sister, Sofia, in 2002. Behind the door lies a romper room for dogs; even out in the antechamber, where drop-offs and pickups are made, the din of playing dogs is nearly overwhelming, and customers occasionally have to dodge a dog-walker’s charges as they rocket out the door for a stroll through nearby McCarren Park. Boarded dogs are walked five times a day, and individual walks can be arranged for home-alone dogs, either as part of a group or a more exclusive two-dog team. Dogs staying with Eva can also frolic in the center’s lime-green playroom, which hosts free small-dog and puppy-only playgroups every Saturday. And renowned trainer Denise Herman conducts regular on-site behavioral classes for more rambunctious pooches.
