Like H&M and Forever 21, the garment-packed Exstaza shop on lower Broadway specializes in fast and cheap fashions. Bargain-priced dresses, blouses, and jeans—some office-appropriate, some club-ready—fill the L-shaped women’s store (there’s an entrance on Broome, too). There are clingy jersey dresses that transition from the beach to the lounge and chiffon cocktail dresses embellished with rosettes. Gauzy blouses with ruffles spilling down the front and cropped vests hang above narrow-cut dark denim. Casual-attire selections include a few central tables piled with retro Junk Food T-shirts and a wall of brightly colored leggings. The accessories skew a bit cheesy (J.Lo-inspired sunglasses, purses made out of bejeweled license plates), but the more sophisticated Exstaza wares make for stylish, affordable outfits. — Katie Hintz
