Profile

The fashionably cluttered vintage boutique has become a tired New York cliché, and Eye Candy Noho shows how it's done with glittering, leopard-skin style. A glass case crammed with a queen's ransom of jewelry is the main attraction, with beaded clutches and leather purses of every size and attitude hanging overhead. Downtown divas can accessorize their moods here with chunky rhinestone bracelets and vintage compacts or delicate Victorian brooches and cameos — not to mention the tons of dangling earrings. Jewelry designer Ron Caldwell is the store's inspiration, but there's enough kitsch in the place to make the mad-bomber hats, leopard-print purses, and pairs of purple shades feel right at home. For a slightly less eccentric look, the London-based Storm watches come in slim, stainless-steel designs for women and no-nonsense, silver ones for men.
