French-born owner Fanny Quéhé fills her quaint Nolita boutique with eclectic costume jewelry and accessories from around the world. The selection ranges from basics, like simple gold and turquoise pieces, to ornate designs decked with leather, lapis, shells, rosewood, and gold-speckled copper. The space is intimate but low-key, with reggae music playing overhead and scented candles scattered about. Jewelry is displayed in glass cases under bright track lighting, and shoppers can check out their bejeweled reflections in the facing mirrored wall. Quéhé hunts down affordable baubles from Denmark, Bali and Turkey, starting at $40 for a bangle to diamond necklaces for around $300. Many items have a spiritual significance, like metallic party purses embellished with the "Tree of Life" symbol or a leather bracelet fixed with an ancient Greek coin. Other pieces aid charitable causes, like a heart-shaped trinket that benefits the American Heart Association.
