For those who love big jewels in big boxes, this Grecian boutique is an 18-karat heaven on earth. Simply decorated and warmly lit, the store's glittery jewelry sparkles in glass display cases set against orange lacquered walls. True to its motto—"affordable, fashionable luxury"—the most part, its Manhattan store sells just that, stocking everything from diamond rings and bracelets to candy-colored handbags and a small but enticing section of bedazzled watches. Jewelry designs reference both classical Grecian and modern European styles; some pieces use Corrinthian engraving and earthy metals, others set bright-colored stones in sleek shapes. The K Collection is particularly striking, merging complementary color pairs (orange with blue; brown with green) with silver clasps inspired by ancient Greek metalwork. Leather shoulder bags and clutches come in seasonal shades like eggplant and scarlet for fall, white and yellow for spring. The bags hang side-by-side with pendants and bracelets, making it fun to browse but difficult to focus when trying to choose only one among Folli's many temptations.
