The softly lit shop separates its stock by gender, with men's shiny black oxfords and suede driving moccasins in one area, and pretty stilettos in seasonal color combinations for women in need of a fine-shoe fix. The shop also proudly displays their collection of handbags—beautifully built and classically shaped shoulder bags and clutches in a wide spectrum of colors, from neutrals like traditional brown and black to jewel-toned purple and red. While the store's offerings aren't the most innovative or fashion forward, there's something to be said for valued classics—just ask the savvy Americans who come home from Italy, suitcases crammed with Rossetti. (The store can't do the dyeing, but they will refer you to Upper East Side shoemakers who can customize the color to match a swatch.)
