After a decade working for the Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein bridal labels, Gabriella Risatti opened her own boutique in 2008. The 75 or so silk couture gowns from smaller labels that are arrayed around the shop’s perimeter are all exclusive to the store and encompass both classic and contemporary styles. There are both clean, modern looks, like Amy Kuschel’s lower-priced silk-charmeuse Dietrich dress, and more feminine, romantic styles, like Michelle Rahn’s Priscilla gown with vintage-inspired beading. New York–based designer Matthew Christopher makes poofy-skirted architectural designs, while London-based Sassi Holford does a lot with lace. Vintage fur stoles, decorative hairpieces, customizable veils by Malis-Henderson, and comfy bridal shoes by Cole Haan are among the accessories. It takes generally takes at least six months to get a finished dress, though rush orders are available upon request.
