While its footwear selection might not be razor-sharp, Galo shoes provides New Yorkers with one essential that's too often overlooked: comfort. Many of its casual suede loafers, leather boots, and leopard-print pumps are fitted with cushiony soles that create a buffer between fatigued feet and urban concrete. The modestly decorated store also carries a decent selection of waterproof shoes and boots with Goretex, as well as a rainbow of rain boots, umbrellas, and rain gear. No men's shoes here, but prom princesses as well as brides-to-be and their wedding parties will fancy the dyeable satin flats, high-heeled pumps and sandals.
