I don't know about the old owner or when management changed, but I haven't had bad experiences shopping there. True, there is a Ask For Help, Do Not Touch sign near the tiny (and very cute, soft, long-wearing, addictive) Cotton Caboodles basic, brightly colored t-shirts and pants. But it's just so they don't have to fold the stuff 8 million times a day. There are a couple of young girls behind the counter that may have dropped out of middle school. They seem to lack basic mastery of math and the english language. But they're nice enough. And the store has a wonderful selection of kids basics and fancier gift stuff. And some great toys/kids' books. I wish the stuff weren't so expensive but I don't think the store jacks up the prices. They just sell higher end stuff.
