Owner Sarah Tallman offers interior design services, floral arranging, and giftable home accessories from her West Village shop. The generously stocked showroom mixes larger decorative items like urns, pillows, and wall art with small accents like dishware, vases, and trays. Tallman’s pug, Rosie, can often be found sleeping in the front window, and the curated selection of wares reflects the designer’s own preferred aesthetic, which she calls “part Hamptons, part Hollywood Regency, and a pinch of East Asian." Faux-snakeskin Dransfield & Ross coasters, monkey-shaped salt and pepper shakers, and Grove’s signature orange-flower-and-bay-rum candle (which comes in its own Birchwood crate) dot the space; monogrammed leather-bound Graphic Image dictionaries and thesauri are a top seller. Tallman has earned a following among fashionable locals for her hostess gifts and custom services—she creates throw pillows out of clients’ vintage Hermès and Pucci scarves, starting at $225. Those seeking bouquets can pull up a stool at the marble “Floral Bar” in back to consult over the assortment of fresh buds and branches blooming from baskets along the wall.
