Jewelry designer Guenevere Rodriguez displays affordable stone and metal baubles inspired by Reiki in this serene, Zen-like store. The bright-white space is lined with simple glass cabinets containing her signature thin, hammered metal earrings, rings, and necklaces, as well as various objets d’art. Rodriguez can often be found in-store, eager to elaborate on the feng shui behind a long beaded necklace or the popular hammered metal “love knot” rings. Large white canvases with single elaborate gold necklaces pinned to each hang behind the main counter, and bracelets strung with large stones and wooden skull beads are stacked on the necks of colorful vases by Brooklyn glassblower Michael Anchin. A large bronze statute of Ganesh in the center of the store is draped in Rodriguez’s beads and metalwork. The back of the space is devoted to a Zen garden, complete with greenery, bonsai trees, small fountains, and mannequins decked with jewelry. Though the collection ranges from around $50 to $350, a “treasure chest” near the register bears vintage necklaces and funky earrings for $15 apiece.Custom Work
Rodriguez will personally design (and infuse with positive energy, of course) wedding and engagement rings for a wide range of price points, by appointment.
