The story behind owner-designer Hannah Clark’s eponymous boutique is classic New York: The Parsons grad cut her teeth at a cutthroat fashion powerhouse (Jonathan Adler) before launching her very own jewelry line which in turn caught the fancy of other major establishments: Fred Segal, Kate Spade, and Anthropologie. At Clark’s boutique, the inspiration can come from nature (the animal kingdom) as easily as it can come from culture (Japanese kimono patterns). Yet while her antique-looking pieces recall the goodies that glisten at Barneys, her beautiful baubles, be they lion-faced studs or gold serpentine rings, are infinitely easier on the pockets.
