The shelves that line the two tiny rows of this HomBoms shop, the smallest of four locations in the city, are stocked literally from floor to ceiling with games and toys for kids at a wide variety of ages — there’s something for newborns, toddlers, 14-year-olds, and everything in between. The selection includes retro classics from companies like Sesame Street and Thomas the Train, model cars, and an ever-popular array of art supplies, such as coloring books, stickers, stamps, and drawing pads. Nearly a quarter of the store is dedicated to Barbie, Polly Pocket, and Corolle dolls, which greet customers from the shelves with big eyes and wide smiles. There are also numerous Lego builder sets, such as one that recreates Harry Potter’s forbidden forest and another that portrays the Moai statues of Easter Island. Scientifically minded kids can pick out volcano science experiment sets, while the vehicle-obsessed can choose between model replicas of New York City’s MTA buses and Cadillac ambulance Matchbox cars. Finally, the store offers something for adults as well — free gift-wrapping and free delivery within Manhattan.Sales
