Ashley Hanosh, baby-faced proprietor of Honey in the Rough, is the ultimate girly girl, and her narrow slip of a store is an homage to the party dress. Whether its playfully patterned minis by Tsumori Chisato or hand-printed silk frocks by Sue Stemp, these dresses (most between $250 and $400) are glamorous and youthful without being tart or precious. By focusing on texture, color, and cut, Hanosh has created a collection that encompasses both current trends and long-term sophistication. In addition to dresses, you can also test out the SCO natural skin-care products and apply some decadently pigmented Besame makeup—although it might be advisable to let Hanosh, herself a makeup artist by trade, help you out with the latter. Throw in some Tsumori Chisato silk stockings, delicate flats with appliquéd animals, and a sparkly bauble by Italian designer Iosselliani, and the only thing left is an invite.
