This edgy outlet store carries overstock from young, fashion-forward designers like Corpus, Orthodox, Imitation of Christ, and Staerk for 50 to 80 percent off retail prices. Owners Whitney Singer and Kat Berkery met while organizing sample sales at Openhouse Gallery, where they noticed that the selection was often dominated by overstock rather than sample items. The pair decided to open an outlet store in fall 2008, stocking a rotating selection of menswear, womenswear, shoes, and accessories. Singer and Berkery’s offbeat aesthetic is reflected in the rough, semi-unfinished space: Clothes hang on racks made of pipes and chains, the checkout stand is made of stacked insulation foam, and display tables are crafted from salvaged wood from around the neighborhood.
